Local residents have been pulling together this week to work on improving Combs Reservoir, and were joined on Friday by local MP, Robert Largan.
The Canal & River Trust, Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council and the local community are working on improvements at the popular local reservoir.
The works include resurfacing the pathway around the reservoir, creating a picnic area, and environmental and ecological enhancements. The plans will make the visitor experience more enjoyable for residents.
Since Wednesday 8th June, volunteers helped resurface the footpath around by laying a new slate surface. One of the volunteers who joined them was local MP, Robert Largan, who helped raking slate across the improved footpath.
Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, said:
“It was good to help out on the Canal & River Trust works refurbishing the Combs Reservoir path this morning.
“Well done to all of the volunteers who have been helping out this week. It’s great to see the community pulling together to improve the path.
“Let’s work together to make the High Peak even better.”
