Yesterday, the Equalities & Human Rights Commission (EHRC) published their report into extensive anti-Jewish racism in the Labour Party.
The report concluded that the Labour Party have broken the law in a significant number of cases including harassment against Jewish people.
The burden of proof for an EHRC investigation is extremely high. Only the British National Party (BNP) and the Labour Party have ever faced such investigations.
Following on from this report, Jeremy Corbyn has been suspended from the Labour Party, and the independent Campaign Against Antisemitism has submitted a wealth of evidence to Labour Leader Keir Starmer, detailing a number of the worst individuals involved in this dark period in British politics.
One of the individuals named in this dossier is the former Labour Member of Parliament for High Peak: Ruth George.
The independent Campaign Against Antisemitism have submitted evidence concluding that Ruth George took part in racist discourse and that she made "mendacious, dehumanising, demonising, or stereotypical allegations about Jews".
High Peak Labour Councillor, Rachel Abbotts, is also implicated in this dossier for sharing Neo-Nazi material.
Robert Largan MP commented:
“These are extremely serious charges, but the evidence speaks for itself. I hope that the Labour Party take appropriate action swiftly to comply with the courts, and that we can rid our politics of this vile form of hate.
“There is no room for racism in our politics. There is no room for racists in the High Peak.”
