Earlier this month, MP for High Peak, Robert Largan, joined Keepmoat Homes representatives at their Foxlow Fields scheme, off Ashbourne Road, Buxton.
The scheme of 395 new homes will feature a range of two- and five-bedroom houses, aimed at the first-time-buyer market.
In July, Robert urged the Government to reconsider its position on Help to Buy, by extending by extending the build deadline in the transition to the new Help to Buy scheme to February 2021.
The Government decided to remove uncertainty and worry for thousands of aspiring homeowners across the country, acknowledging the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the housebuilding sector, and the extensive construction delays it caused, ensuring customers who need to use Help to Buy to achieve their ambitions of owning their own home are not disadvantaged.
Keepmoat Homes Regional Managing Director, Shaun Fielding, commented:
“We were delighted to welcome Robert Largan MP to our Foxlow Fields development in Buxton in the High Peak. This development, which is our first in Buxton, will deliver a range of much needed high quality, affordable new homes for the area including 119 affordable homes in partnership with Sage Housing.”
Robert Largan MP commented:
“It’s really good to see the first homes at Foxlow Fields will soon be complete. It’s good that there will be a large number of affordable homes as part of the scheme and I hope the scheme will help local people achieve the dream of owning their own home.”
