High Peak MP joins Picnic on the Pitch

Local MP Robert Largan recently joined in on the fun at Picnic on the Pitch at the Centre and Playfields in Chinley. 

All proceeds to the event go to the Chinley, Buxworth & Brownside Community Association, to fund a new community centre.

Local councillor Eve Burton joined Robert as they enjoyed many of the event's attractions, including tombola, live music, raffle, barbeque, bouncy castle, and plenty more. 

The Old Hall Inn sponsored a beer barrel, so each glass raised meant every penny goes straight to the new community centre.

Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented: 

"I’ve had a lovely afternoon at Picnic on the Pitch in Chinley, all in aid of raising funds for a new community centre for the village. 

“The organisers have done a brilliant job, and we got lucky with the weather. 

“I didn’t win on the raffle or the tombola, but it was great to bump into lots of friendly faces, including local councillor Eve Burton and John Kappes.”
