Robert Largan MP has launched a Christmas Card design competition for local school children.
The MP is, as in previous years, trying to be environmentally friendly by not sending out a paper Christmas Card. Instead, the Glossop resident and Member of Parliament is sending out an e-card and donating what he would have spent to a local charity, Reuben’s Retreat.
But the MP has decided he wants his e-card to reflect the best of High Peak and to showcase the creativity of local children.
The competition is open to all children under the age of 13, with the winning design being sent out to over 5,000 local residents.
There is no criteria for the design. It might be about High Peak or Christmas or something completely different.
The form to design the card on is below. Entries can be posted to the MP’s constituency office at:

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 1 December 2020.
Robert Largan MP commented:
“I’m doing my bit to be environmentally friendly by not sending a paper Christmas card and donating the cost to support brilliant local charity, Reuben’s Retreat. But I want my e-card to look great and showcase the creativity of local children.
“I look forward to seeing what the children of High Peak come up with!”
