High Peak MP Robert Largan is thanking National Lottery players after hundreds of thousands of pounds in funding was awarded to community projects last year.
Between 20 August 2022 and 25 November 2022, the National Lottery Community Fund awarded £436,807 to community projects in the High Peak.
Grapevine Project Limited alone has received over £407,000 in funding to sustain and expand their activities which help with mental health wellbeing in the local community.
Mr Largan has welcomed the grants which are distributed as part of the National Community Lottery Fund.
National Lottery players raise over £30 million each week for good causes throughout the UK, and the fund itself is the largest funder of community activity in the country.
Information about how to apply for funding can be found at The National Lottery Community Fund’s website: www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk.
Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented:
“I’m really pleased to see that local community groups continue to benefit from this vital funding from the National Lottery.
“The Community Fund helps so many excellent charities and groups all over the UK who do so much to support those who need it.
“The Grapevine Project is one such group working hard to help the mental wellbeing of local people and provide a wide range of support for those who are struggling.
“Congratulations to the Grapevine Project for their fantastic work and for winning this award.”
