High Peak MP, Robert Largan, visited Thornbrook Road Pharmacy in Chapel-en-le-Frith before the second lockdown.
Like pharmacies across the UK, the Thornbrook Road team has worked exceptionally hard through the pandemic. They were also nominated for an award this year for their efforts during the Whaley Bridge dam crisis.
They have had to change their practices, address the fears we have all come to live with nowadays, and ensure that the vulnerable are prioritised.
Robert also visited the local pharmacy a few weeks prior to this visit to have his flu jab, and several constituents have contacted Robert about the availability of flu vaccinations.
In Parliament, Robert urged the Government to ensure that sufficient flu vaccinations are available in the High Peak.
The Government has made clear that those in higher-risk groups will receive the vaccine as a priority.
Robert Largan MP commented:
“It was great to drop into Peak Pharmacy in Chapel-en-le-Frith to thank the staff for their hard work.
“They’re a superb pharmacy and provide an important community service. I even got my flu jab there a few weeks ago.”
