High Peak MP Robert Largan recently met Mark Jennings, Director of Peak Active Sport (PAS). This was a chance for the High Peak MP to learn more about PAS’s specialist support and discuss how to help more children in the area to get active.
PAS provides specialist sports coaching for many schools and children in and around the High Peak, regardless of their age or ability. They also offer fantastic opportunities through an array of different sports, delivered by a team of professional coaches.
Earlier in July, PAS received confirmation from the Government that their summer holiday provision could go ahead. Safety measures will be in place and adhered to at all times.
Their programme includes football and multi-sport holiday camps in Glossop, Buxton and New Mills, as well as several non-residential adventure camp days.
Mark Jennings, Peak Active Sport Director commented:
“I was delighted that our High Peak MP found time to visit the Peak Active Sport office to learn about the difficulties a sports coaching company has been facing, and the plans we have to come out the other side fighting for our staff and customers.
“Robert and I were very open in our conversation, and the confirmation from the Government has been very positive. I look forward to our next meeting.”
Robert Largan MP commented:
“I really enjoyed meeting Mark to discuss how we can work together to help more children in the High Peak get active.
“Peak Active Sport are another great High Peak Business, and it was great to drop in to one of their summer camps.”
