Robert Largan, Member of Parliament for High Peak, has recently reached the milestone of taking on his 50,000th piece of casework.
The milestone case, which is believed to be the highest in number in the country, was taken on and rectified swiftly by the MP.
High Peak’s MP and his office have taken up 50,000 individual cases on behalf of local people. Robert and his office have also replied to 98,758 emails so far.
Case number 50,000 for Mr Largan was an enquiry about a number of incorrectly issued parking fines, of which constituent Tanya Lloyd, a Personal Brand Photographer & Coach, fell foul.
There have been long running issues at Howard Town Mill car park in Glossop, with a large number of residents issued incorrect parking fines due to an error with the camera technology.
Mr Largan took up the case, which had “at times been immensely stressful” for Ms Lloyd, and succeeded in getting the multiple fines cancelled in full.
Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented:
“50,000 individual cases is quite a milestone! I am really proud to go the extra mile to help local people. My team and I work round the clock, doing what we can to help people and make the High Peak even better!
“I’m also really pleased that I was able to help Tanya. These incorrect fines can cause a lot of unnecessary and unwarranted stress for people who haven’t done anything wrong. I’m really pleased to have got these fines cancelled, alongside many others.”
Local resident Tanya Lloyd commented:
“I want to say a massive thank you to Robert and his team. It has been immensely stressful to be threatened with court action over the fines given to me incorrectly by the parking company here at Howard Town Retail Park.
“I’m glad that the parking tickets are gone, and really appreciative of Robert’s efforts. Thank you and well done!”
