High Peak Parliamentary Candidate Robert Largan joined Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service and County Councillor Jim Perkins in Buxton this weekend, to promote fire safety.
The event, held in Buxton town centre, was organised to promote fire safety and to give the chance for local residents to have free smoke alarms fitted in their homes.
Residents can arrange for a Safe and Well Visit from the Fire & Rescue Service online at: https://www.derbys-fire.gov.uk/keeping-safe/home-fire-safety-check/
Robert Largan, Conservative Candidate for High Peak said:
“Smoke alarms save lives. But 19% of homes still don’t have one fitted. That’s why events like this are so important and it’s great to see our fantastic Fire & Rescue Service reaching out to help people like this.
“I strongly encourage people to get smoke alarms fitted.”
