Robert Largan MP is delighted to announce that two local businesses are now finalists in the Countryside Alliance Awards.
The Bridge Bakehouse in Whaley Bridge has been nominated as a regional finalist for the Local Food/Drink category.
Buxton butchers, Geoff Mycock & Sons, have been nominated as a regional finalist for the Local Butcher category.
The two well-respected local businesses will go head-to-head with other nominated enterprises from across the Midlands in their individual categories, with the winners of a public vote then set to compete nationally.
The Countryside Alliance Awards are the Countryside Alliance’s annual celebration of British food & farming, enterprise and heritage through our small hard-working businesses. The Rural Oscars are now in their sixteenth year and have become the definitive rural business award to win. They are set apart from other award schemes because they are driven by public nominations, offering customers the chance to tell us why their favourite businesses are worthy of national acclaim.
Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented:
“I am very pleased to see that two excellent local businesses have rightly received the recognition that they deserve.
“I can say personally that the quality of goods they both provide are exceptional, and I hope that residents will join with me in voting for them in these awards.
“Well done to both of them for being nominated!”
