High Peak MP Robert Largan has this week announced that he is organising a Buxton Community Policing Forum.
Several incidents have taken place in Buxton recently, and Robert wants to give residents the opportunity to raise their concerns with Derbyshire Constabulary, and ask the police questions about what they are doing to prevent and tackle such crimes.
The online forum—which is open to all Buxton residents—will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday 27th January 2022.
This forum follows Robert’s organisation earlier this year of a similar forum for Fairfield, Hadfield and Chinley residents.
Robert’s Buxton Community Policing Forum continues his focus on crime and policing, and his efforts to help make the High Peak an even safer place to live.
The number of participants is limited to 300, and residents must register to attend online at robertlargan.co.uk/buxtonforum.
During online registration, residents can also submit a question that they’d like to ask the police representatives.
Robert Largan, MP for the High Peak, said:
“Buxton is a great place to live and work. It’s a fantastic town with a great community spirit, and people are rightly proud to call it home.
“However, there have of late been several incidents in the town, which is concerning for residents and workers alike.
“I’m hugely grateful to Derbyshire Constabulary for agreeing once again to take part in my Community Policing Forum, and for all the hard work they do to keep us safe, especially during these unusually challenging times.
“Following the success of my previous Community Policing Forum for Fairfield, Hadfield and Chinley, I hope that this meeting will also enable residents of Buxton to engage with the police, to the benefit of everyone.”
