High Peak MP Robert Largan has this week welcomed Northern Trains painting a clear pathway across the car park at Whaley Bridge station.
Better visibility for the path has long been argued for by local community groups and residents, and various issues relating to the shared ownership of the car park have recently been resolved, meaning that the path could be painted.
Robert said:
“"I've been campaigning for improved access to public transport for people with disabilities since being elected, so I'm really pleased that new lines have now been painted to make the pedestrian path much clearer.
“Well done to the Friends of Whaley Bridge Station and the High Peak & Hope Valley Community Rail Partnership who have campaigned hard on this for many years."
