Conservative Candidate for High Peak, Robert Largan, visited Buxton Pride in the Park on Saturday.
The event was held in Pavilion Gardens in Buxton and it enjoyed a large turnout and support from across the political divide.
Robert Largan, who actively campaigned for the introduction of the same sex marriage, is a longstanding and proud ally of the LGBT+ community.
Commenting, Robert Largan, Conservative Candidate for High Peak, said:
“It was a great event and I was proud to support it. I was a little surprised to see our Labour MP Ruth George attending as well, given she failed to stand up for LGBT+ rights when she abstained on the key vote on same sex relationship education in Parliament. But her belated support is welcome nevertheless.
“If I was elected to represent High Peak in Parliament, I would always stand up for LGBT+ rights.”
