High Peak MP Robert Largan carried out the Quarterly Members Draw at Buxton Market.

The draw is carried out for members of the market’s community interest company and is part of the incentive for people to invest in the market.

Since the community interest company took over the market several years ago, the market has seen a big turnaround in fortunes.

The local MP visited to make the draw and chatted to traders, last Saturday. The visit came off the back of the market doing its best ever Tuesday market trading figures.

Robert Largan MP commented:

“It was great to do the draw and chat to the market traders. I’m also really encouraged that the market had their most successful ever Tuesday market, which is a really positive sign and shows that local people are coming out to support their local businesses.
