Local High Peak MP, Robert Largan, recently visited Minibus Options, which is based on Bingswood industrial estate in Whaley Bridge.
Minibus Options specialise in the supply and conversion of wheelchair-accessible minibuses. Since 1986 they have supplied over 5,000 minibuses to a large variety of different organisations all over the UK.
They design and build mobile outreach vehicles for youth clubs and mobile offices and have developed a ‘harsh environment’ crew vehicle suitable for heavy-duty applications.
Alongside this they also provide solutions for highly specialist applications including prisoner transportation—all with the latest developments in technology, and to the highest standards of safety.
Many of their customers are using their vehicles to provide a lifeline service to their local community.
Robert has been supporting the business by lobbying the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to speed up their administrative processes.
The DVSA tests and approves Minibus Options conversions before the vehicles are registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
Robert Largan MP commented:
“It was great to visit Minibus Options in Whaley Bridge.
“They’re a specialist local business who make bespoke minibuses, often specially designed for disabled access, and an important contributor to our local economy.”
