Local MP Robert Largan recently joined Buxton Police on patrol in Fairfield.
Robert got to see first-hand some of the challenges officers face while on shift and discuss the work they are doing to tackle crime in the area.
This follows Robert’s policing forums for Fairfield, Chinley, and Hadfield this year, which gave residents a chance to ask Derbyshire Police questions on local issues.
The patrol and forums continue Robert’s focus on crime and policing and his efforts to help make the High Peak an even safer place to live.
Robert Largan MP for High Peak said:
“Joining local Police Officers on patrol in Fairfield was useful to see first-hand some of the challenges officers face while on shift and to discuss the work they are doing to tackle crime in the area.”
“A huge thanks to our excellent local police for working so hard to keep us safe. My focus is on securing more resources for the High Peak.
“Many residents believe that Derbyshire Constabulary has overly focused on Derby and the south of the county, and this imbalance needs correcting. I will keep making the case for High Peak to get its fair share.”
