On Monday 5 October, Reuben's Retreat, at the old Woods Hospital in Glossop, welcomed local MP Robert Largan.
Robert was invited to the Retreat to see the newly-constructed hydrotherapy pool and sensory room. This was Robert’s second visit to the Retreat, after seeing the start of construction last year.
Reuben's Retreat is a charity which started two days after Reuben Graham died at just 23 months old. His legacy supports families bereaved of a child, as well as children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses or disabilities, as well as their loved ones.
You can find out more about their work and how to support them online at reubensretreat.org.
Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented:
“It was lovely to visit Reuben's Retreat again, and great to see their completed hydrotherapy pool and sensory room, which were both construction sites last time I visited.
“It’s really inspiring to see these projects turned into reality, knowing the amazing support this will provide to so many families.
“They do important work supporting families bereaved of a child, and for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Please do consider supporting them.”
