The Curry Cabin, a traditional Kashmiri restaurant located in the heart of Hope, has been crowned the best takeaway in S33 as part of Robert Largan MP's High Peak Best Takeaway Awards.
Earlier this year, the local MP launched his takeaway competition to find the best local takeaways in the whole of the High Peak.
Sal, who runs The Curry Cabin, was presented with a certificate by Robert in the restaurant in Hope. The Curry Cabin opened as a takeaway only in 2009, has since grown into a contemporary 40-seater restaurant.
All independent High Peak takeaways were eligible, whether long-established, or if they only started offering takeaways during the pandemic. The remaining winners will be announced soon.

Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, commented:
"Congratulations to Sal and the team at the Curry cabin in Hope, which residents have voted the best takeaway in the Hope Valley as part of my High Peak Best Takeaway Awards.
"The Kashmiri restaurant is a real local success story, and has been serving the people of the Hope Valley for 12 years now. They are definitely worth a visit."
