This morning, High Peak MP Robert Largan visited Platting Farm near Dove Holes.
Over the course of the morning, he was shown around and had the chance to talk about farming in the High Peak. This included changes to farm subsidies along with the implementation of the new Environmental Land Management scheme.
This new scheme aims to make food production in the UK more resilient and sustainable, while also preserving and improving the environment.
This farm visit came soon after the successful arrival of healthy, newborn spring lambs at the Platting Farm.
Commenting, Robert Largan, MP for High Peak, said:
Spring is here! Daffodils are blooming, the sun is shining and spring lambs are in the fields.
It was great to see newborn lambs doing well at Platting Farm. I love being a champion for our amazing Peak District farmers!”
