A number of local residents have raised concerns about excessive noise from loud exhausts, often on illegally-modified vehicles or motorcycles. This is a real concern and in some cases can seriously affect the mental health and wellbeing of residents.

I'm very pleased that the Government have recently announced a pilot scheme to trial new noise cameras on local roads to try to tackle noise pollution, and I want to try to ensure that High Peak is one of the first areas to get this technology.
